Is this Illegal?
As i'm currently in the market to buy a new car, coming across this was fairly worrying, surely this can't be legal...
Pre-Stamped Service Book
Its said that:
Yeah right, like someone who's going to buy this is going to do that.
Thoughts?

Its said that:
The buyer has a duty to inform any prospective buyer of their vehicle that this log is not the original issued service log that was supplied with the vehicle.
Thoughts?

Can't see how it'd be illegal. It's just a book at the end of the day. I sold a car with a filled service history from another car. The buyer was told though, and it just had details of what needed to be changed, and when.
If asked if it was genuine, and the seller lied, I can see how the buyer would have comeback (if they ever found out).
On the one side it's good to replace a damaged/lost book. On the other making a fake service history (and advertising a car as such) is surely illegal.

I must be missing something. What would it say on the stamp? If the work was not done at the place indicated on the stamp, then what is the point. If its just a stamp for a stamps sake then why not just buy a stamp yourself and stamp away.....
