My S was an ex fleet car that has covered 32k miles in one year and I bought it cheap knowing I wouldn't put any miles on it, by the time I want to sell it it will be market value again.
So the beater option for me is not worth it IMO because I don't put any miles on the S anyway.
And Matt yes I do do it with my eyes closed - usually on a Saturday morning after a night shift.
