Default If You Are Thinking Of Replacing Your S...

Go and buy yourself a beater first.

I bought a Fiat Seicento Sporting (Abarth Mind you ) (all 54BHP of it) for a couple of quid a few weeks ago.

I've enjoyed getting my hands dirty servicing it and replacing a few broken bits from breakers yards etc. and its all tickety boo now. Its a hoot to drive and I am happy to leave it anywhere. Car park dent worries are a thing of the past and it only needs a couple of teaspoons of petrol every few weeks and the cost of insurance is unnoticeable.

The best bit however is when you get back in the S and unleash an extra 200 horses YEEEEHHAAAAAA...its like the 1st day I drove him, every time

Go on Mister, buy yourself a runaround...you know it makes sense

There must be basic fixed costs of a beater that are not insignificant though?

We run a C8 as the family transport so thats covered, but I have a commute of no more than 10 miles each way. For me, the S can be a bit of a pain if the weather is awful (ice / snow / heavy rain) and there is not much pleasure in driving it in such conditions.

I also worry about leaving the S in car parks or when we go out at night and leave it somehwere open.

Sure there are running costs on the Fiat (Insurance is around

S2000 - For top down weekends with the girlfriend and the tent (and BEER)

Nissan Primera - For everyday beating.

Honda CBR600F - For when I'm trying to kill myself.

If I drive the Nissan all week the S is bliss... and the bike is just silly fast...

I need a bigger garage
