Default Idle Control Valve

Hi There

Slight problem with my car stalling and although the ICV has been cleaned it looks like i need a replacement Idle control valve - anyone know the best place to get one from is ?

I've got my old one if you are interested in trying a 2nd hand one... never had any problems with it.

I've got two s/h ones in the garage. Not using it on the kit car installation...

Looks like you've got a few options to go at!

There are two different configurations of hose attachment on the top - either straight or angled. AFAIK both units are otherwise the same, but you may need a particular one for a straight swap with your existing pipe-work. I've got one of each if you get stuck

Thanks Pete - should get the one from Mintyhit on Thursday so I should know then - if its not the right fit i will let you know

Jez did fitting a replacement Throttle position sensor/Idle control valve rectify the problem? Mine has just started doing the same as yours this morning.

Fitted it this morning and tested and now all seems well although I have not driven it yet as my seats are out of the car - early tests seem good though
