Default ideas for universal hardtop stand?

anyone got any ideas? Ive seen the hoist up to the garage roof method but we have no room. Is there something I could even make out of wood? or are there any cheaper hardtop stands that would work for us like MX5 stand or universal fit almost.

Any help woudl be greatly appreciated

Thats great! just the thing im looking for. Did you weld that frame yourself? I have a mig welder and am quite a dab hand so i shall give this a go. Do you have any of the measurements?

Thanks

Good way of doing it!

FWIW only mod I wd suggest is pads where the HT touches the stand.

I've got one of these - my HT is mounted the other way up - comes with bag - and is cheaper than the Honda version

Go to Honda > S2000 Special > verdeck > lager system

Photo of my stand. It is upvc, not metal, so you just use solvent weld fittings.

The 'original' as in Simmo's photo, was constructed in the USA and is made out of 2" dia upvc tubing, but that is a difficult size to get in this country so I used standard 1 1/2" plumbing waste pipe - it is easier to get the bends and tees etc.

Make sure the fittings do actually fit the tube you buy. I made the mistake of buying some tube at B&Q and then found that the fittings, bought elsewhere, did not fit because the B&Q tube was pushfit, not solvent weld. The dimensions in the USA photo are good enough to be used for 1 1/2" pipe.

Why not buy one of these and get the thing hung up on the wall and out of the way?

How much you pay for the bag?

Or if not a link to the US thread where it was first found? Then I can at least work it out somewhat better
