Ideal Seat position ?
I am 6ft tall ,my current seating position is seat adjusted as far back as possible , with minimum rake, any other suggestions ?
I have a 2002 model, and have recently found some discomfort from my current seat position, also I would ideally like to sit lower in the seat, as I find I am too high up when driving.
Has anybody else felt that the driving position is too high, as I have seen a number of comments from the press mentioning this as well.

I find my seating position comfortably low (5' 11"). So either my seat has been lowered (second/hand), or the seat cushion settles over time.
If you search the US threads, there are some posts about seat lowering. Are you able to push the clutch all the way to the floor ? Start setting the seat from this position - arms should be bent at the elbows when holding the steering wheel.

I also felt I was sitting too high, but never got round to doing anything about it. If you do a search some of the taller American members have taken some of the padding out of the seats to lower them, and there are instructions somewhere. I didn't fancy it, looked a bit complicated for my hands

I'm 6' 2" and also have to have the seat right the way back with a minimal rake.
When buying my S, I test drove a new car (2003 model) and found that the seat seemed to be pushing me too far forward, also, my left leg fowled the bottom of the steering wheel. However, on my S which is a 2001 model with 14k miles the seat feels so much better having bedded in a little. The only problem I have encountered is a squeaking from the seat back rubbing on the rear bulkhead. Solved in with a little polythene slid inbetween.
My advice would be to find someone/something to bed the seat in!!

I'm 6'1 and started with the seat back as far as it would go with minimal rake but found too it uncomfortable on anything but the shortest journeys.
Since then I've had it forward a couple of notches which allows more rake and was surprised to find that for me that small adjustment turned the seating position into one of the most comfortable.
The increase in rake has also the small advantage of putting you at a slightly lower position in relation to the car.
Worth a try?
