Default ICE again...

Well this week I obtained my new head unit and speakers (Alpine CDE-9882Ri plus SPG-17CS components).

Got two more questions:

1. Aerial lead - I looked at the aerial lead on the car and I'm not sure it'll be compatible with the Alpine, is there an adapter for it? If so any links or info where I can get it as Halfords don't list an Autoleads one.

2. Bluetooth - I'm intedning to obtain the Alpine bluetooth adapter, but was wonderting where the best place to mount the microphone is? Uusally I'd put it by the interior light by he rear view mirror but this may not be the best place in the S, so where would you suggest, what have other people done?

Thanks.

Reference number 2) If you pull the A pillar trim off, it's very easy to thread the cable through from underneath the drivers footwell. I mounted my mic in the top right hand corner of the windscreen where the top of the A pillar trim meets the trim of the top of the windscreen. Realistically, with the roof down, I don't think it matters where you mount the mic, it's going to struggle picking up your voice.

Alpine Head Unit.

Aux adapter for the CD Changer plug.

HTC Desire on Windscreen - plugged in to Aux socket - roof up or down, I've not had a problem being heard, even at 80mph or so (windows up).

it is more comfy for the caller if you're doing 60 though.....
