Brakes International - all 4 discs 154.89 including shipping (a couple of months ago) Plenty good enough, functionally, though other options may offer higher bling potential

I'm currently running EBC RedStuff pads which work well, but seem to have been well and truly munched, front and rear, after 3 track-days. If you're not tracking, I'd have thought OEM spec ones would be just fine, and cheap.

Greenstuff arent rated for cars this powerful (turns out they weren't supposed to be on the S3 either, although didn't notice any problems). Didn't see any problems with the EBC grooved discs either, but they didn't get much track use.

Bit of a shock when you think about it really - you put some faith in some little green things that it turns out shouldn't be on the car anyway!

I know!! I didn't find out til after I had got rid of the pads anyway, there was a bit of a kerfuffle about it on the Audi boards IIRC - something to do with cars >200bhp or turbo's i think!

I can't see what difference a cars power has on its brakes, a 90 BHP car travelling at 100mph is the same as a 500 BHP as far as the brakes are concerned. I would have thought weight was the important factor, unless they just assume a bigger engine = faster driving

I would imagine this is the case as you would get to a higher speed (on a track for example) on the straights in a more powerful car so would need to shed more speed ready for the next bend.

I've just replaced my front pads at 72k, after buying the car at 28k. Not bad wear in my opinion. Especially as Honda Told me on my36k service that I had 2k left on them, then subsequently told me on every service after that, that I had 2k left on them! They quoted me
