I think I've ruined my car................
allbeit temporarily...........
My switch to Avons is affecting my enjoyment of the car........they seem to have 'neutered' the car in some way.........the whole car has changed from a sharp driving tool to one which I'd be happy for my wife to take out who's only driving experience has been FWD hatches....
I've ended up blunting the dynamics to the extent that I am not enjoying the car to be honest.......a friggin spotty 17 year old would have trouble losing the car now.....maybe this is a sign of a good tyre....but it's not what I want out of the S2000 to be honest.........I'm pretty sure it's down to the softer side wall as it happens
I need the Evo 5's more than ever now.........

thinking I may use the Honda Alloys and tyres for track day outings and get a set of Mille Miglia's
It's most definately the softer tyre walls that is the main factor.........you can feel the tyre wall flexing under hard cornering making the car 'squirm'.......it's a wierd sensation...then when they do brake away...well your Granny could hold the slide.....it's just not challenging enough for me

Mine were so bad, you only needed to be mildly "on it" to feel it - even relatively gentle high speed curves were a bit , and doing over 80 mph on the motorway was a no-no for the same reason, even in a straight line. I tried putting the pressures up, but it felt like driving on marbles so I compromised on c 34.5.
Fair price to pay to be able to hoon around in floods and snowdrifts though
