I figured this out this morning. I realised that when accelerating, I rest my heel on the floor and accelerate more progressively by keeping my heel on the floor and pressing the ball of my foot onto the pedal. I realised today that I do the same thing when braking with my right foot.

However when braking with my left foot, I put the ball of my foot straight onto the pedal, and therefor must give the pedal more force than if I rested part of my foot on the floor. I braked with my right foot this morning using the "ball of the foot only" method and I achieved the same higher level of force I got when braking with my left foot. I just need to practise that

Job done.

Why are you trying to brake with your left foot?

Because I know I brake better with that, and wanted to figure out why. Now I know, I'll adjust my right-foot braking technique accordingly.

I want to be able to brake later, so in this case they are the same.

FFS, isn't it obvious?

Mostly agree . Have you ever owned a TVR? If so left leg muscles will be much more developed due to heavy clutch action. Hence you can apply more pressure when left foot braking.
