Default I need a stiff one

It's started snowing a bit in the Lakes but nothing really significant, driving home from seeing my relation in Kendal and take the A591 to Windermere, sleeting and quite slippy where my relative lives and nearly get stuck on the slight incline out of his estate, get to the main road and everything is ok.

That is, until I get to Stavely, the car decides it doesn't like going straight anymore and tries to spit me off the road (this is at 30mph), get a nasty tank slapper on but manage to slow it down and stop the car. So with my hazards on and barely doing 15mph I complete my journey after another half an hour, getting almost completely stuck several more times (once on the flat) and causing a massive queue of cars behind me.

I won't be driving my car in the snow again!

Yes it is very dodgy on the snow i was pulling out of some services on the A13 today. I started to get the power down to get up the slip and up to speed with the traffic and she started to to go sideways, i backed of the throttle corrected it and was ok luckily.

You have the wrong tyres for snow.

Why I am considering a winter set - for this global warming you see.

The R26 is extremely well behaved in reduced grip scenarios too.
Very good ESC.

I'm considering going out and buying a 4x4. If I charged people £20 each to drag them up the hill at the bottom of our road it could pay for itself within a day....

Yep, driving home from snooker this afternoon took an hour longer than usual. If it weren't for kerbs and other cars it would be great fun. No grip whatsoever, and sideways 90% of the time. Cursing at the cars in front for slowing down when I'm trying to have a run up to get me up a slight incline.

Made it home in the end, then got stuck in the middle of the car park, in snow a foot deep. A kindly bloke walking his dog managed to push me into a space.

Yep! Had tyres last year with only 1mm of thread on and they were terrible in the snow. This year a brand new set of RE50's has made a HUGE difference

Same here now. Everything that was in the sky is now in the car park.
