Angry I Need Some Advice on Polishing My Knob

The end of my knob is covered in scratches and I'm looking for some advice on how to get rid of them.

Its a Ricks spun Titanium gearknob and it has become scratched with my wedding ring.

I always keep my knob covered with a knob sock at this time of year as its very uncomfortable and cold to the touch.

However, I like to get my knob out in summer once the weather has warmed up a bit and theres nothing worse than an exposed knob covered in scratches.

Anybody else got this embarrassing problem or even better a solution to the problem or suggestions as to what I could use to buff my knob back up to a smooth finish.

Andy

Spun will be nightmare to polish. I gave up on my Ali one and had it powder coated black.

Presumably your ring is made of titanium?

A bit of spit and polish. Judging by your avatar you've got a bit of a knob/nose fixation anyway.

The best way is to take it off and give it to an engineer to put it on a lathe and skim it all over then brasso or autosol it.

A good engineer would do it for free or just a drink.

Take it to a metal finishers ,or stainless steel fabricators ,they can put it on a buffer takes 2 minutes , saves all the elbow grease!

Perhaps in future, stick a different finger in your ring?

Does Rick know about your obsession with his knob?
I presume these suggestions would apply to my J Racing blue job as well?

BTW I've had the polishing done and it took 95% of the scratches away!
