Im looking at buying a set of wheels i just want some advice on offsets and fitments

can this work 17x7.5 ET+48 all round?

with 215 on front and 225 on rear

is this a good combo ?
I have these on mine I think. Rota Grids.

Handles fine and the wet is not a problem. Probably cause I don't have baloons on the rears

Doesnt struggle with traction so no point going wider on the back IMO. Wider tyres just have a wider, thinner contact patch. Don't neccessarily mean more grip on the corners

Do they?

I always thought the wider the tyre the wider the contact patch but as fat if you know what i meen.

I know it will make the car lighter on the contact patch as weight is spread out and also more chance of Aquaplaning due to the width.... never heard of it makeing the contact patch thinner though. I could be wrong though.

There is more width to spread the weight. The weight is the same and so the area will be the same, for this to happen on a wider tyre the contact patch needs to be 'shorter'

Notice how skinny tyres usually look flat?

All OK but 255 is a bit too wide for my lowered suspension?
