Are they available in a yellowy orangy type colour?
The whole premise is based on white LEDs on a PCB with a coloured filter (also known as translucent plastic).
A few guys have a multicoloured dash Green to 5k, yellow to 7k, red to 9k
I don't want to knock Qube, but if you can solder and aren't afraid of screws, you could achieve 95% of Qube for about £30. Or if you don't want the LEDs (and you don't need them) then about £2!
A white one with LEDs replacing stock bulbs:
I'll post up the home made links when I get home

Ron, I agree to a certain extent...you can just order a filter that replaces the yellow/orange OEM one.
BUT, and it's a big but, certain colours (blue is one of them, red too IIRC) will look too dim as there isn't enough light to penetrate a darker filter (light blue wouldn't suit a MCB too ) Qube looked into replacing inverters and the like to see if the whole process could be cheaper by just replacing the filter and upping the output of the lamps...alas they still weren't bright enough, even on the highest setting.
Fitting the LEDs ensures that you have enough light output to get through the filter.
I'm sure I could have designed an LED board myself...electronics is my forte but when you only have one set of clocks to play about with at any one time, it makes the whole process rather lengthy.
Being able to fit the pre-assembled kit is ideal for owners who wish to retain the original mileage on their clocks, this is something you cannot achieve with the core exchange, or if you need to use a separate set of clocks to develop your own LED board.
Haroonsarwar - Yes, I do believe Pip is the first in the UK to have this kit installed
Wobbly - Shipping starts at $33, or if you want it quicker than 6-10 days...Pip's spent 7 days in customs though you can pay up to $70
As far as a GB is concerned, I'm sure that Qube would be able to supply a discount...particularly on shipping. I wouldn't mind one of these myself (but have other outgoings atm ) so would be prepared to start a GB in a couple of months. However, if someone else wants a go in the meantime, then by all means crack on

Also, check THIS one
Not keen on the results produced by the DIY with tinfoil and different filters...I must say the Qube one looks far superior...even if it costs significantly more.
