I've written to a Chief Constable before. He will only agree with his own officers so I wouldn't bother unless you really want to. I was told that the officer in question clearly saw a lane coned off on a motorway when there wasn't!!!
If they have video evidence and it has record of calibration you would be knackered. If he stopped you and let you go, I can't see their being anymore to worry about.
Besides, the video should have recorded everything that was said between the two of you ...

ukliam,
put it down to experience. You got off with doing 42 in a 30, regardless of the reasons
tnt,
I'm sorry but you should have slowed down more, motorist don't have to pull out if there don't want, even if its safe to do so. The fellow on the Motorway has right of way after all.I don't drive that manner myself, I couldn't the number of miles I do.
I've got a TS 10 (failing to comply with traffic lights). I went through on yellow(I think), the officer said red. Had to take his bullshit for 5 mins. He had a camera, and I said "have you got me on camera" you said "it doesn't matter I can do you for what I like" TWAT. That set the tone for out short meeting. This was my first experience of being on the wrong side of the law and I was shocked at his attitude. I had the up most respect for the police before I bumped into him.
