If the roads are of high traffic, you should be safe. In residential streets when the snow is very fresh and clean... not so much.

Without knowing more about you, I'd err on the safe side.

The part where the picture was taken was just as we were unhitching
The problem that caused the need for towing was a slope and thick snow and underlying compacted ice/snow

It really wouldn't go anywhere and I drove as I needed. It wouldn't even go backwards

CJ- At least you had to tow the X-Trail down hill

I drove back from Birmingham to Newcastle after picking mine up in the sleet at the start of January. Just take it easy fella!
