Default I am relatively tolerant of the weather...

but please god, dont let me drive 15 miles in bright sunshine before deciding to absolutely p**s down on my head!!

These "interchangeable" weather conditions are seriously winding me up. I can live with rain, obvuosuly prefer bright sunshine, but to be cruising along far from home in the bright sunshine, only to get caught in a massive downpour, makes 6 seconds seem like a very long and embarrising time!!

Im not taking the top down until summer you just cant enjoy a convertable when its like this, I felt well embarrised, plus was very annoyed that it may mess up the seats etc, does it do any lasting damage to seats or dash them getting wet? I wiped them off after getting home, but still a little concerned.
In my anger/frustration, pulled into a Sainsbury's to stop and put the hood up, and drove too far forward over the curb, and it rubbed lightly and pushed those black front plastic bits right back...bad day!!!

As long as you keep above about 50 it's fine. Driving back from SM3, roof down, we hit heavy traffic/roadworks on the M5 near Brum (big surprise huh?! ). Up until now the weather had been OK - just the odd shower, no problem at <cough> motorway speeds. However as we slowed down into the roadworks the traffic never actually stopped - it trundled along as a steady 10-15mph and the heavens opened . In these circumstances you a/ get very wet (along with the interior of the car) and b/ provide a great source of amusment for other roadusers

I had no chance of keeping it above 50!! I was at lights, but didnt want to risk putting top up straight away, as lights were due to change, then had to turn left, go round a roundabout (all the time behid slow moving vehicals), and then then stop in Sainsbury's, so I was a gonner!!

and the mods will have to catch me first to arrest me

Okay, apart from actually watching the weather report from now on, I will really drop the top whenever poss, I was just very peeved, starting to calm down, and then the entry phone just went and a voice says "can you open up please, its the Police"!! I havent done anything wrong, but still freaks you out a bit, thought maybe someone had reported a driver with the top down using unsavoury language luckily they just wanted to speak to my neighbour, wonder what he's done? ill have to engage "nosey" mode....

This happened to me on Friday on a drive up to York, started p*ssing down and the traffic slowed.
What I found particularly amusing was that the inside of the hood got soaked so it continued to rain inside the car for a good 10 minutes after putting it up!

But this is the beauty of the S2000. The hood comes up so quickly you can just put it up when it rains and down again when dry. It's not like most cabs where you have to pull over for 30 seconds

Dry = Roof Down
Wet = Roof Down

I didn't realise it got more complex than this, I have much to learn
