Default The Humbling of a poser!

Imagine the situation:

Out in the s2k, little bit wet, music up quite high and having a little sing along, as you come to the traffic lights an Escort XR3i pulls up next to you. Typical XR3i driver young and looking for a race off the lights. You look at the conditions, notice you're on an anti skid surface, so prepare to race!

Look at the other traffic coming across the lights, it stops.........wiggle your bum a bit to get a nice comfy position, plan in your head raising the revs to 4k rpm and dumping the clutch, take a quick look across to the Escort then back to the lights and wait............

Lights go amber, start the rev's........

Green, dump the clutch and.....

STALL!!

The bloke in the Escort was laughing so much he was all over the place going down the road while I was still trying to remember how to re-start the car!!!

What a plum!

It happens to the best of us!!

Its like when its seriously wet round town and Mr Saxo Vti trys to race you. I always find in this situation dream about the summer................! and sit there smug in the knowledge you have a far better mode of transport!!
