Default How soon can you wax a new car.....

I want to wash/wax my new car when it turns up, which is 1-3 weeks before the big meet in September.

I have heard you're not supposed to do this to new paint, so any ideas how soon I can wax the new car? I guess it will have been on a boat from Japan for a few weeks first ??

As the cars are only made in the car plant where NSX's are made in Japan and not in Swindon the paint should be good to go from as soon as u recieve it.

I was talking to marcw about his new red MY04 on Saturday. He was saying he'd been told to leave the car for 6 weeks before polishing.

You need to leave the car for a couple of months before you start waxing / polishing. Washing is okay, but you need to give the paint more time to 'cure'.
