Putney,

I have a quote for a clutch change on my V(99) S from just last week.
Had a service and it's thought the diaphram springs have failed as the clutch is fierce, compared to other S's.

Anyway the kit is

There was a Recall on a clutch I think - check if that is applicable to your car - There may also be a TSB about this - check the TSB's here:

Say for example you had a car out of warranty but there was a recall a couple of years ago like the one above, can you still get the work done?

Its not a recall its a service bulletin. I read the article posted by AE it says out of warranty would be in good will. so probably not covered. what were you thinking of getting done? clutch problem?

Might get a discount if two cars go to the same garage.

There is definatly something wrong with my clutch, it is so heavy, but every now and again it goes nice and light. I had the fluid flushed when I first bought the car, but it does not seem to have done anything to remedy it, I may get them to look at it when it is next in for a service. It would cost me about the price of the clutch in petrol to get the car down London.

I thought I might need one but replacement tranny and gearbox oil has made an incredible difference.

I checked and Honda said all the recall work had been done on my car, had it from 12k and just hit 30k the clutch has started to slipping over the last couple of days and is getting worse very quickly.

Not sure when the work was done but i'm out of warrenty now, i would expect a clutch to last longer than 30k, don't you think?
