I'd appreciate that!
Are you going to strip bumpers and mirrors for them?

People these days walk away from cars with stone chips and also ones that mention they've had paint to freshen them up. You can't win. Personally I'm not bothered at all, as long as it's been done by a reputable garage that I can ring and ask about the work.

Mikey, no, I don't have the time to strip parts down myself so they are going to do everything for me.

I'm going to ask them to take pictures the whole way along as they did for the intragrale they have recently finished. That way if I do ever sell the car then the new owner can see exactly what was done.

I'm paying £1100 + VAT for a front end respray.

Prospray, Warrington...Their work is second to none.

You get what you pay for.

They have previously painted my boot and drivers side (removal of stone chips by previous owner).

So, was over at the body shop at the weekend & having a look at all the bits & pieces that would need to come off the car to get a proper job done. What they have told me is that if any plastic is brittle & breaks then I will have to pay for replacements so obviously I am hoping that most of it comes off without breaking.

The piece that caused them most concern (purely because they have not done an S before) is the black plastic strip that sits around the base of the roof as per the picture. They had a look but can't seem to figure out how it comes off and to be fair they are trying to save me having to buy a new one from Honda should I go ahead with the respray & it breaks when they are removing it.

Has anyone removed this peice of trim and if so how does it come off complete?

That bit was puzzling me as well!
I'll have a look in the work shop manual for you

Are you sat down?
According to the workshop manual to remove that strip you need to;
Remove soft top
Remove B pillar weather strips
remove drainage tanks
then undo 10 bolts

DON'T let them break it!
