Seriously though, there comes a point when you've spent so much on the car that surely you wonder whether it would have been easier and cheaper just to swap it for something else with more poke.....?

As I said a few posts back, I'd leave it until you get back if there's any uncertainty about how long it's going to take or whether it's going to need a while to bed in and for you to spot any niggles arising from it.
Tried to get mine booked in for its 18,000 mile service pre-Arran but no-can-do - have to wait until the weekend after Its already on 17,700, so I'll just have to hope that I don't do too many miles on top of the 550 or so to and from Arran before a week on Saturday!
