Default How much brake fluid would you expect to use in a gravity bleed?

I changed my front pads today and decided (as I was alone) to gravity bleed the system using Billman's DIY. Although the process was straight-forward, I was expecting to use nearly a full can of Super Blue in the process. As it happens I have about 50% left.
A similar thing happened when the local garage changed my fluids to RBF600, there was lots leftover. Is this likely to be explained by the braided lines used (HEL) perhaps being shorter than stock lines?
I should add, the bleed process has left an amazing feeling pedal so thanks again to these forums for the DIYs

Depends how long you leave it dripping.

I went from brown to blue fluid so it was clear to see when the colour changed. Maybe I peaked too soon but it certainly looked blue to me.
Did clutch recently annoyingly.

It's not just about replacing the fluid, if you're trying to get air out you'd need to bleed more. But if you're happy with how it is, then there's no need to worry.

I'd always use nearly all of the half litre bottle, because you may as well.

Hold on! I'm being an idiot here! I used a litre can (which I used half off) instead of a 500ml bottle!

Super blue only comes in a 1 liter can, when I did mine I too only used just over half the tin, did the clutch and got some sprae as a top up

I'm thinking of doing a fluid change following Billman's instructions. He emphasises to start with the Right Front. Does this mean the front wheel furthest from the reservoir? In other words, with a RHD car should i start with the Left Front?

Edit - here's the link
