Rob I think you need to stop telling people about this, when this fact is clearly not backed up by any reality.
Quite right mate.

I've just checked for myself and found I have actually been passing on some very duff information.
I shan't be doing it again.

Still on original roof and plastic window with no cracks or splits. I rarely put the top down on my car so maybe thats why its lasted so well.

I think that would be the first thing I'd replace if mine came with a plastic window...

You'd pay £700 just to move to a smaller glass window?

If it was my daily drive and only car all year round I’d get a glass window.
But if it was my only car I’d probably buy a newer one in the first place for reliability and peace of mind and traction control.

Mines pretty much a fair weather toy, the plastic can stay for now.

And for the fact that you get a brand new roof attached to it, then yes.

I think the sight of a mouldy old plastic sheet for a window really brings the looks of the car down, makes it look old and tired.

And I like the fact that the glass one is smaller as well

To clarify, mine has 90k miles on, is a daily driver and I look after the plastic window with a bit of elbow grease now and again so no visibility issues.

I don't mind warming things up before I drop the roof cos that way I get warm too....
