Roadie,
how the hell did you remove the hardtop on your own without the use of a winch of some sort???

explain!

It's not a recommended route, but I managed with lots of foam pads. It helps to be 6' 2" (as I am in my cowboy boots ). Basically, I just lifted it onto the back of the car which was covered in foam (having rubber-corked the pointy bolts). I then tilted it up onto the glass edge and lifted it clear.

I know, it was pretty dangerous, but it worked without a scratch and hey, it fits better now too! Go figure that one out!

However, I won't be doing it again - it was just such a nice day... you know how it is.
