How long do you wait before vtec

I would never go by just the coolant temp.
This is more evident when running a oil temp gauge like me/others do. My coolant could be at 3 bars but my oil is still well below operating temp.

Usually at least 10minutes+ of actual driving (not sitting in traffic, remember your diff/gbox) would be enough.

An oil pressure gauge tells you when the oil is at the correct temperature.

as a few people have stated, above.

ive got an oil pressure/temp guage, wont go full redline untill 70/80 degrees, will go to 6k at around 60degrees. oil temp during warm up lags a lot behind water temp!

25 mins is way too long, you're genuinly wasting you life taking that long to enjoy the car as it was meant to be driven!

I find as the car warms up it becomes more responsive and starts telling me to use vtech, the car has a mind of its own, I swear! Usually about 15mins here before the car starts getting into shape
