I think this research actually has some merrit.
I mean if you think about it, grey cars are just so dull not even the sun can be bothered to notice them. Whereas more interesting colours attract it's full attention!

More proof but less scientific than the one I came up with this afternoon.
Here's how it goes. The colour of the drivers hair with the colour of the drivers car.
Silver - Debonair and distinguished (Fast)
RNBlue - Pensioners Blue Rinse
