Default How do I tell I have an alarm

Hi,

I've just recently bought a 99 T S2000 (Jap import), how can I find out whether it has an alarm?

Lock the car with the fob and open the boot with the key.

Er, look for an alarm box in the engine bay. Or sit in it and close the car up and wave your arms around a bit

Do you have just a ignition/door key for the car? or is it accompanied by a little black box with buttons on (keyfob)?

Does black square shaped minibox lock and unlock the car as well as the boot open function? If so use it to lock the car then use the 'main ignition key' to open the boot, not the black square shaped minibox! If you have an alarm it will go off.
