Jolly good a full report will follow

The day after I give the Merc back I've got a Jag XKR for the weekend...... a bit more pipe and slippers but I'll do the same for that as well.

I wish!

No I just know what to say to dealers to get a decent test drive...... and it helps a lot that I'm on a company car scheme that covers insurance for such jollies.

Best give us a report on how to blag 3 day test drives

Now that AMG SLK does look nice!
Is this not the one that gets panned on the suspension and tyres if you go for the full on option

Not sure..... but AMG are famed for their expertise at suspension and engine tuning so I'd be surprised.

Reviews so far (of the Euro and US cars) seem to suggest that its a very good car...... only trouble is its an auto as they can't get a manual gearbox to handle the huge torque the 5.5V8 produces!
