hot gear knob
after about an hour of driving around my gearknob gets quite warm 
is this unusual.the transmision tunnel seems quite warm too

It's been ages since we had a good "hot knob" thread. 
Yes it is normal to get a hot knob while driving the S2000. It just means your treating her how she likes to be treated.

"nicely warm" would be normal. "too hot to handle" would be a little
