Default Hood renovation product advice

I want to spruce my hood up once I've repaired my self inflicted rip

I've searched the forum and read that some people have used Renovo Reviver, but it says 'not for vinyl soft tops' on the container, and I think I'm right in saying the OEM roof is vinyl?

Is there an equivalent for vinyl roofs freely available in the UK? I want a dye, rather than a colourless waterproofing treatment/cleaner. Forever Black Black-Top looks good, but I can't find a UK stockist.

Any advice greatfully received........

303 stuff is quite good, its a two part product it isnt a dye but cleaned it up thus made it slightly blacker and cleaning looking.

I use mx5parts.co.uk for hood stuff.

For the OEM hood I would use the vinyl cleaner and then the vinyl ultra proofer. It's not a dye like the restorer for mohair hoods but it darkens the hood and evens out any patches. My old MX5 hood came up like new using this stuff.

The proofer also lasts for ages. I had trouble coating it again the following year as the stuff didn't want to soak in!

I think i've still got some of the renovo mohair dye stuff around if you want to try it on a small patch.

Edit - I've got half a bottle which should do the whole roof. You can have it if you like.

Cool. I'll bring it on the breakfast run or you can grab it before next time you're in Bournemouth.
