The Hondata also stops the the heat from the engine block from heating up the intake manifold.

Even if you install the Hondata you need to do a coolant bypass as the Hondata only blocks off the one end of the flow through the manifold.

It should give the car a few extra HP in warmer weather.

Technically it doesn't give the car more HP. It prevents the engine from loosing power in hot conditions.
It's a well worth add-on.

Im not sure its in the worthwhile category due to the hassle.

I think in Stevens case, with all his mods then you can justify it as its all part of the jigsaw but on its own, not really convinced tbh.

I've done it and it is definately a PITA job. I would not rcommend it unless you have the inlet manifold off for some other reason, then it makes sense.

No but then I fitted it when I fitted my SC so your not going to see a few HP whan the SC is adding 90 odd at the wheels.

My main reason was to keep the inlet side a cool as possible as the SC of course increases the air temperature even with the after cooler.
