I had the rears replaced on my last S for the same reason and it was a daily driver and garaged at night, suspect like most cars the rears do so little that the dreaded rust seats in easily.

you say they do little but at the last north west driveabout i was testing brake tempratures and the rears were hotter than the fronts!
