Once your S2k is out of warranty, is it worth keeping up the "Honda" service history, or are you better off using somewhere like TGM in Fleet?
Got my next service coming up, and as I'm well out of warranty I'm thinking of going to TGM rather than my local Stealer.

Just had mine serviced by Honda today to keep up the stamps.
IMHO it is worth it to make the car easier to sell privately and get the best money for it.

I am currently planning on still getting mine serviced at a main dealer as the service costs in general aren't too high, and my local dealer does have a lot of experience with the car so I generally trust them not to eff anything up inadvertently.
They have also not tried to rip me off by insisting I replace stuff that does not need replacing.
Peace of mind re the car's idiosyncracies rather than thinking it will affect the SH materially.
I reckon the car is too far past the warranty expiration for any kind of goodwill claim that might be helped by a FHSH even if it has only 24k miles on the clock (MY05).

My dealer are very reasonable and I haven't had a bad experience.
FHSH may not be important to you, but it is very important to potential buyers. Most of whom are ignorant. It could be what gets you the sale.
So given the two I'll keep going to the dealer.

Mine's too old and decrepit for it to matter now. Plus I didn't buy it with a FSH, so there's little reason for me to start now. Although I did get it done at dealerships for the first two, but that was because I didn't know any better. I do my own now, because I can.

Just waiting for a quote on the 54K service from my village garage today.
Just get re-quote in writing from Honda!
And use your own consumables after getting a re-quote, avoiding 100% mark-up........

a car's a car. dont really matter where you take it imo (aslong as you trust their work).
i'm DIY. im very particular on how i like the work to be done and i take more care over doing a job than a normal garage would. i'd rather take a hit on resale (and of saved probably 2x+ that) on the DIY route.
end of the day honda and a trusted garage have just the same people working for them, just dealers charge more and are encouraged to cut corners with their bonus schemes.
