Note on F-MainDealer-SH

The older the car is, the less important the MainDealer bit gets.

Would I touch a 2/3 year old without Honda history - No
Would I touch a 6/7/8 year old with *reputable* indy - Yes
Over 8 years old - as long as the history after above is full then probably yes. I'd want to see the docs to make sure they'd done the relevant servicing (i.e. proper plugs, valve clearances, fluid changes etc. all on schedule)

This goes for any car really.

The most important thing about regular servicing is changing the oil and filter. An easy job you can do yourself for about

Well lads your right....

Got my car serviced at dealer, 370 quid for 96 month service.

As i left the garage from dropping the car off, my car cam LAUNCHING out of the garage and dissapeared into some industrial estate.

When i picked the car up, 1/8th of a tank was used in the space of about 4 miles, so they must have hammered it.

Picked it up, got home, noticed the car sounded a bit tappity, and all i could smell was burning oil.

Bonnet up, and the 55 quids worth of mobil 1 0W30 they have put in my car, was all over the engine bay because the guy didnt put the oil cap back on. I found the cap on top of my undercar protection plastic luckily.

Dealers are Pric*s.

Im calling them tomorrow to tell them im NOT paying for the oil change and i want another 20 quid off for steamcleaning my engine bay.

Never again.

How low had the oil level dropped (maybe you should ask the dealer for a year's free Hondacare to protect you from the cost of any future engine blow-up due to their negligence, as well as a steam clean - alternatively to waive their bill and then buy a year's Hondacare yourself)?
