Default Honda Service

Is it really worth trying to keep up a full Honda service history with the prices dealers charge, ive been quoted 370 quid for the 72k service from 4 dealers.

Whats the price difference bewteen a car that has a FHSH and one that has a FSH?

You could always try supplying your own plugs and oil to bring the cost right down?

There's not neccessarily a price difference, more the fact that if someone is looking at 2 cars and one has been serviced at Honda and one not - which are you going to choose?

Unless you can find a well regarded Honda specialist.

My opinion on a car like this is - If the owner can't afford to get a proper Honda service once a year, what else have they skimped on?

Honda servicing really isn't that expensive. In fact - my 72k was nowhere near that price. Remind your dealer that on the S2000 (unlike the rest of the Honda range) plugs are at 54k intervals.

If the other had all the receipts prob that one, nothing but bad experiences with honda dealers and servicing

one said to me depends how much oil we put it depends on the cost, i said they all take the same ammount, they would not have it.

If you keep all the receipts and that of parts at least people will know you have bought it and its been, done, with a dealer, they say you have it done, but do you, we have all heard the stories and it does go on.

just my two pennies worth now dont shoot me down

I'm in total agreement with Phil but only as a buyer with a "bit" of knowledge. If someone showed me reciepts from a well known indie then I wouldn't be too bothered but of course we as owners are in a priviledged position no?
