Honda OEM CD Changer won't eject cartridge
Hi All,
Would appreciate some help to get this working again please. Wasn't too bothered before the hardtop went on for winter but with the rattles a squeaks that come along with that I would really like to get the CD changer working again.
Problem on the changer is that it won't eject the cartridge. There is power, press the button and you can hear the whurring noise as if it will come out but then doesn't. In the car the (standard) head unit just says CD error when you flip to the CDs.
So no CD sounds in the car and cannot get the CDs out of the changer.
Anyone had any experiences similar to this and found a remedy?
Thanks for your help.
PS Also noticed that my rear foglight bracket has corroded badly and will need replacing ('02 Car with low down mid bumper light) anyone know where I can source one at a sensible price?

I'll double check then but pretty sure there is power there as the button you push to eject has a green light on it I think that does seen to illuminate plus it makes a noise that gives me hope the cartridge will eject but nothing then happens....

I too get this. Where is the changer located? If you find the flylead running from it, and disconnect and reconnect it the changer will power cycle. When it does this, it will recalibrate the cartridge and slots.
You should then be able to eject the cartridge.

I had the same problem, its most likely the cartridge stuck inside the changer.
I stripped mine down and found that a slightly bent disc tray/holder was the culprit so removed it, and now use it as a "5 Disc Changer"
Hope that helps
