If anyone feels a bit inadequate in their rice burner, might I suggest a Bugatti Veyron?

They won't get smoked by anything (apart from Plod, of course!).

The stock R32 sounds cool though...

I wouldn't take on the race from a standing start because I'd like the clutch to last more than 10,000 miles.

But if correctly launched the s2k will win.

To 60, and 100.

In the dry.

Check out the figures in the above (knackered) table.

Remember these guys know how to drive.

We all have the wrong car though, a Clio RSI is apparently one of the fastest cars on the road.

This is hilarious.

Especially the 172 page where I quote:
"There was never a chance I could afford with my own money but i wasn't about to let this car go it this bargain price so I took a loan out with Northern Rock to pay for it and at a low monthly payment it is more than reasonable to pay for such an awesome car."

and

"Will blast most things off the road I'm sure"

I like these Clio 172's but I think he's a little ambitious.

Nowt wrong with liking the car you're in. I'm sure most of the clio boys would appreciate the S2000 - I got plenty of compliments when I was over there asking about the Clio V6.

I think you're (mostly) all taking Mole a bit too seriously though He says that the S2k is quicker at higher speeds in his first post. It's also common sense that the R32 is going to be FAR FAR easier to launch in anything but dry conditions, so it will almost always have the edge off of the line.

The S2k is a fast car, but it is also so very easy to get caught out in the wrong gear when another car comes along to 'test' the performance difference. 2 seconds waiting for the revs to get back up to VTEC or to realise and change down = 'my astra whipped an S2k last night'.

Next you'll be telling us that the S2k is quicker than the Boxster and Z4 in the wet

Ill be able to give you that answer in June as well.
Honestly guys i hope you take it as it is meant. I still love the S I think its a brilliant car. I also really rate the r32. Its not mega quick but it just does everything apart from fuel consumption really well.

No. So far as I'm aware, ex-owners have always been welcome to continue attending meets, and generally want to do so because they've had a good time at previous meets, and made good friends.

On occasion people have changed cars between putting down their names for an event, and then attending. As Alex has indicated, they've always been more than welcome.
