RichUK, Mrs RichUK and I were chatting to someone from Honda Europe at the motorshow. He was with Honda but not "on the stand" as it were and he'd heard that it was going into production and the demo car they had was pretty much how it would be produced given a few tweaks for the principles of manufacturing.
Seems a lot of effort to go to for the sake of not releasing the car don't you think?

Even popular and press acclaim doesn't seem to be any guarantee that it will make it to production though. Jaguar F-Type, anyone....?
(Although, evo did report this month that Jaguar may be reconsidering putting the F-Type into production after all )

That's cool news about the F-Type. I was brought up around Jags, and I mean proper Jags not Mondeo's in a predator's clothing, so they have always had a sweet spot in my heart.
Anyone got any pics from way back whenever it was that they released the pics of it?

Someone in the Know (works for Jaguar) told me that the S2000 was one of the cars Jaguar used as a benchmark in developing the F Type.
Re the HSC I hope that this is just media hype. I can't imagine that Honda would wish to lose the prestige that a flagship car brings to the brand.
Re the CRX - it's time this made a return. Fingers crossed that it can live up to the previous (pre Del Sol) models.

CRX. Why does this tiny car have such a following? Urrgh
Anyhow, need the super car HSC in the line, seeing as they are into F1 racing. And the S2000 needs to be made a tad bigger with an I-VTECH engine, pref. straight-6 or V6. Spend the money Honda, hurry up!

P1 - does your friend in the know have any news on the F-Type's development or if it is even going to hit the development stage?
A real shame as the prototype is absolutely beautiful.
