Honda headrest speakers - are they any good

S2000 Mike:
I had the same question as you and based on feedback from owners who purchased the Honda factory headrest speakers and had them installed I went ahead and bought them. They were installed today and I am very satisfied with the sound. There are two speakers in each headrest, so you do get very nice stereo imaging. Surprisingly, my set was the first that the dealer (a suburban Chicago, IL location) installed. I suspect it is because the speakers are expensive and most owners probably aren't as interested in the top down sound as they are when the top is up.
The installation looks first class. Much better than other solutions for speakers in the headrest I've seen on the forums I've checked.
My recommendation is to go ahead and get the Honda speakers. The extra expense will be forgotten in a few months, but the great looks and sound will keep on pleasing you long after that.
