Default HKS supercharger

Mmmmmmmmm

Just seen some pics of it on Evasives FB page.

Looks very nice indeed, and quite different. Will see if I can copy a pic.

It was first shown at Sema last year

Did you see the vario cam as well?

There's an HKS S2000 tuning project series on Youtube

Is this kit still in the development stages or has it been released for sale?

I've not seen it for sale anywhere yet.

Sounds like out of the box it's designed to work with the limits of the OEM fuel pump / injectors (they have put a restrictor orifice in the SC outlet) so it won't be massive power (which is what I want) and it's positioned in a really nice place.

Funky looking exhaust too!

Well, HKS have gone way up in my estimation. If you watch that video, they replace the exhaust system and show no BHP increase on the dyno. Hats off for honesty. Furhtermore they put their manifold and sports cat on and show a dyno increase of 9 bhp. Again, that is real world stuff.

And that's the sort of thing that would make me buy from someone.

Sadly there are a lot of idiots out there who wouldn't because the decat alone doesn't advertise a 10 bhp gain

Only thing i'm not keen on is the filter location on the SC. Looks to be the worst possible place for heat.

Belt tensioning from the front is a nice touch though.

thanks for posting. HKS have gone up in my estimations too, i always considered them to be okay products.

The exhaust doesn't surprise me, it sounds nice but maybe they werent really looking for power, i expect the HKS silent power to not add power too.

SC looks good too apart from the intake system, you going to get one Mark?

I am interested, Aj.

I'd like to know what duty cycle they were at with 270 bhp though. I don't mind changing the injectors though...

But for an off the shelf no messing with fuel system or clutch upgrade type setup, they could be onto a winner for those who only want a 30-40 bhp hike.

Depends if they use a RRFPR or something, i cant see really but it looks like the stock FPR has been removed.

The keihins on the S2000 can comfortably take 86% DC, after that the spray pattern 'starts' to suffer and of course poor atomisation - we have tested them.

Looks like a good mild, least stressful setup. The FMIC seems massive for that size, makes power from 3k rpm but most superchargers do, mines about the same if around 2800rpm.

Very interesting, with your setup it would be an easier nice round 300BHP

Yep I still wouldn't run at 86% though. Even close to that and you get issues operating them under constant duration. Injector swap is easy though.
