The HKS manual doesn't state about the use of a higher rated map sensor. Is one really needed or is the oem item OK? Id prefer to put the £100 towards other parts if i'm honest

OEM map sensor reads up to around max 10/11 psi, it fluctuates though.

Whats the recommended spark plugs to use with the kit?
HKS recommend HKS branded ones, but wonder if anyone uses NGK, and if so, which ones are recommended.

Re the 4 bar map sensor, H TUNE only seem to have an aem listed specifically for DBW 06+ cars, does anyone have a link to a version compatible with earlier cars that is a direct replacement or is it worth getting either a Hondata one or the Tegiwa ones?

I have bought the 3.5 bar AEM one and it can work on any car as you wire it yourself and plumb it too. It will need an adapter of some sort and hose fitting.

Ill be opting for either the Speed Factory or Skunk2 ones from Tegiwa. Straight forward plug and play.
Now to find some comparison between the 2 brands. I know Skunk2, but never heard of Speed Factory.

The main reason I opted for the AEM 3.5 Bar is that all the pressure settings were already installed on the software so it was just a case of selecting the 3.5 bar map sensor and changing the map to suit. You can get a map sensor adapter from the US that bolts where the oem sensor goes and provides a barb to connect the AEM map sensor too.

If you have an aftermarket one and no piece of paper showing what settings to use with the AEM then you will need to calibrate it manually which will add abit of time into the equation
