Got my car booked in with TDi North and want to get the last few bits ready for mapping.
What map sensors are people running? Seen tegiwa sell 2 brands (Speed Factory and Skunk2). Can also get a Hondata one from CPL for £10 more.
Wide Band sensors, guess the AEM UEGO from Tegiwa is a good option?

Thanks

I've gone with the AEM map sensor purely for ECU compatibility reasons, no doubt the others works 100% but figured i'd stick to same manufacturer

I also went with the AEM 3.5 bar sensor. I think in reality you can get away with the OEM sensor. The highest pressure i have seen is 11 psi at about 8700rpm

Im pretty sure the OEM will measure upto 10psi.

I use a Science of Speed 3 bar sensor on my TTS kit, which works fine.

Do you need these sensors? Didn't really consider a boost sensor as didn't think I'd need one? And what benefit would the UEGO sensor give other than a warning if running lean - which in theory it shouldn't if set up right?

I've booked some time off work at the start of December to fit my kit, have bought the SC kit from Si, injectors, fuel pump and filter and also a replacement aux belt - anything else you would recommend?

Where do people order the SOS map sensors from?
Car is booked in to be mapped on the 4th Nov. So not got too much time to wait for USA shipping.

UEGO is very important as it can help the ECU out with self learning and can map itself to an extent so if it starts leaning out the ECU can see that and correct it etc.
Also very helpful as you say for knowing when to turn the car off!

Tegiwa do a 4 bar map sensor on their website so just get that, my personal preference would be to buy the AEM one to keep it consistent but for ease of install i would go with the Tegiwa website one. http://www.tegiwaimports.com/select-...-f-series.html

Thanks for advice. Saw the Tegiwa Speed Factory one. They also offer a Skunk2 one, and just wondered if one is recommended above the other?
