HKS SC kit topic

All went to plan, ended up making 331hp to the wheels, everything was spot on with my install with no problems. Car is ridiculously fast now. Absolutely loving it. It does seem to have a big cooling problem, either that or the ecu is not reading the temperature correctly.

what radiator are people running? im getting very high temps very very quickly. what fits with the hks? mishimoto triple? im asking as the pipework is very close to the oem as it is!
Im unsure if the aem v2 could be incorrectly giving me the wrong temp on the dash? i am finding it hard to believe the car is getting so damn hot so quickly

Sounds like a fault. I'm still running my OEM rad and don't over heat, even on trackdays.
Get Will on the phone and ask.
I'd check all the sensors are set-up appropriately. Have you got any gauges or plugged a laptop in and looked at AEM Tuner?
Also what's your vtec set at? Sounds high.....

I had that when I fitted my TTS kit and it was just an airlock in the cooling system.

That was before will changed the vtec point, it is now set to 4500, it's getting silly hot on the gauge after only 1-2 short pulls so I'm pretty scared lol, been running around today with the heaters on hot just incas! Didn't have a problem with Temps before even at a track day earlier this year when standard so can't see it being a airlock, the fluid is probably original could it be worth flushing it with some new honda stuff?

I have my AEM recalibrated correctly and i have the fans come on at 91 and switch off at 88. I have one high power spal fan and one slim one but they can keep on top of temperatures easily enough. As for coolant bleeding you really need to leave the bleeder on the inlet manifold open until a constant stream comes out even at idle. Once that happens take it for a drive and then do the same again.
I run 25% antifreeze and 75% distilled water and mine still warms up quickly. It seems fine once cruising but at idle in traffic it will warm up quickly and the fans will stay on a fair bit.
I would check your AEM settings to make sure that the fan has been set to come on and off at the right times. Also dont forget the AEM displays the bars of temperature slightly different from the OEM ecu, im sure it shows warmed than it is. The most i ever see and by then the fans are on is the temperature gauge at bang on the half way point.
