Just spoke to Funky Power again, clutches should be with us next week.

I will be leaving my standard one in for now as I'm on a tight schedule with dyno time as well as trackdays booked. There seem to be a few with standard clutches so I'm in with a fighting chance.

If it slips then it will be either ask the tuner to tune for less torque until it's good or do the trackdays in other cars.

Wish me luck!
My pressure plate just turned up today

Also regarding the heat issue, is it worth wrapping the underside of the manifold heat shield with a heat reflective tape like this? assuming your still running a standard exhaust manifold.

i will be running NGK IRIDIUM IX SPARK PLUGS HEAT 8 BKR8EIX 2668, although the standard plugs would be ok too, but as i dont think mine have been changed since the car was new in 2005, i thought i may as well change them for the ones people use on boosted cars

Hello guys, I also install an HKS sc kit on my time attack s2k project, the engine setup I'm running from the beginning of this year until now is 725cc ID, external fuel pump and surge tank, custom 70mm exhaust, AEM ems ecu. Car take 1st place in the first race in Franciacorta circuit, 2nd place in Imola circuit and another 2nd place in Imola circuit, next race will be next week on 16 July in Misano Adriatico circuit, from the afternoon until midnight so night race! If you like to follow the project you can take a look on the FB page https://www.facebook.com/G2B-Time-At...?ref=bookmarks

Quick AEM EMS question.

I've read from this thread that there are things that the AEM cant do, for example

It will not tune it'self
ODBII Output
Dash Gauge (Water Temp) does not function
No Standard DTC to light the CEL indicator
No Immobilizer Security
Emissions Stuff (EVAP)

The Thread started in 2005 so i assume this refers to the V1, can anyone confirm if any of these are still true of the V2?

Cheers

It will tune itself based on target AFR and you can get it to make permanent map changes but you need to know what your doing. Ignition timing is what gives you power thou and the best way to tune that is on a dyno with knock headphones. S2000 has a knock sensor as standard which can be used on the AEM EMS but its still not going to replace a proper dyno tune.

aem ems v2 the coolant gauge cluster works fine on my S2000 56 plate
