HKS SC kit topic

So these are 17x8 et48 with a 5mm spacer.
the calipers are from will let you know what they are like Friday evening but the quality looks good and they perform well on the road.
I put miller's 300+ brake fluid in which is good for 310 degrees, would go brembo 64t but I can't justify £30 a bottle.

Mines being taken off and up for sale soon. I never had issue with it and it was great fun. The Tial bov was essential really to stop flutter up top.
I know there is some concern about these units and in particular how HKS have dealt with concerns, but for the price, and the bhp, it's a great upgrade IMO.

Hi everyone, which HKS kit to use on 2009 UK/Europe AP1?
HKS offers:
14007-AH001 (99-05) AP1
14007-AH002 (05-09) AP2
So I wonder if its just US specific due to F22 upgrade or DBW in 05?
Thank you for help
EDIT: My mistake, these numbers refers to fuel upgrade, kit is just one with 12001-AH006 part number.

brakes at oulton where very very good, massive improvement over stock with no over heating issues apart from brake fluid not coping.
Rears got destroyed though so need some better venting on rears but yeh i could manage 25 minute stints with good consistency where as before i could only go like 4 laps before brakes would overheat and pads melt.

I've been doing a bit of research... not sure the spring needs to be changed... i don't see an option for different spring rates. Seems like it mostly works off vacuum and pressure. I could be wrong though.

Balance of pressure (inlet minus manifold) overcoming the spring activates it, but the spring closes it. Hence, for SC applications you want a nice light spring because it should be open as soon as the inlet exceeds the manifold pressure. Any stiffer spring just increases the pressure difference it takes to activate it.

Has anyone relocated the oil filter with these kits? I'm thinking of doing so as I'm currently having to run a sandwich plate for my extra sensors and a stock s2000 filter wont fit; running an HKS shortie filter for the time being. If it wasnt for the extra sandwich plate - I'd be able to run the stock filter..

Btw i have a sandwich plate along with the heat exchanger and i can fit a K&N white performance filter on?
