Bob,

The mishimoto fans are well known for being useless. Less powerful than the OEM items. To do it properly you need to get a SPAL fan or something similar. They pull so much current that they will stall the car on idle.

Surprised you were still seeing high temperatures in the top hose. Water cooling has never been a problem on trackdays for me but oil cooling is a massive issue after 20 minutes in a NA car let alone supercharged.

My brother was at the same trackday as you at Snetterton, he was in the BMW 335i with trade plates.
I also have a mishimoto triple core rad/shroud/fans,I'm surprised that you said the fans are useless.mine cope perfectly fine, they have never struggled at all to bring temps down.
I havent done any trackdays, but it has done some high speed pulls and spirited driving through the summer months and haven't had a prob.
I fitted the fans to the previous rad and the temps were definitely better on track vs the standard fans.

When running 10.8 psi at the ring a couple of years ago I had to cruise to get the temps back down on about 25% of the lap, all the way up the hill after the bridge through Adenau. Last year running 18 psi and the only cooling difference was the fans I could just about do a lap flat out with a tiny bit of short shifting

Btw what setup are you running ? I guess not Suoercharged? I never had any cooling issues n/a at all

Kings performance turbo kit,but I was tts supercharged before the turbo.ran the rad/fans/shroud when I was supercharged aswell.

N/A and been to Snetterton loads of times. Found that after 15-20 mins the oil temperature peaked at 130c. Since fitted an oil/water cooler and had no problems since. Its good to see a supercharger kit being used the way it should be and the engine lasting well.

Got any trackdays planned in the future?

Oh and sorry to thread hijack abit!

As for the mishimoto fans there is aloads of people on the full forum moaning about them. You only have to read the current rating on them to see that they lack omphhh.

Apologies for the thread diversion, just trying to offer any additional info that I would have found useful before I had supercharged my car ... I've removed all my posts from this thread to unclog it

So how many cars are running this kit in the UK now then?

Any issues with installation?
