well my wideband failed today too.. pos. I reckon i've done 1600 miles ffs albeit on road tuning was part of that
I swapped (cat back) exhaust, went for a run and pop.. no reading/max lean the whole time
will i ever get this car near a track? ballbag.. new sensor ordered, get your bum in gear Si

PLX wideband with the bosch 4.9 sensor. In the time ive had mine my brother has killed
-AEM
-2 Grams wideband sensors.
Never had any issues with my PLX and the gauge allows you to check response times and gauge health.

4.9 is what i need.. one of Si's chaps is sorting it for me.. they are both out of stock though (maybe lucky for me) so i'll chat to AJ but prob not much use for a few weeks anyway while i change the fluids and stuff

Is the wideband sensor something you guys have put in on top of the HKS kit and any other fueling mods? I didnt put the UEGO setup in mine and havent noticed any ill effects......?

for me there are two reasons to do it
1. I know it's not running lean at WOT which is what we think (as in more knowledgeable blokes than i ) blew up the sub 40k miles motor in my car
2.Your map should include O2 feedback.Normal O2 sensors are not very sensitive so not suited to this application.
For £150 it felt like a no brainer to me as if the car runs leane your engine will det and you might not notice, then it'll die

This makes me paranoid. I don't run UEGO and track AFR mostly because I don't want to be looking at another gauge all the time when driving, (the oil temp/pressure is bad enough). I know I probably should.
So what do you guys do if it looks like it's a little lean at WOT? Pack up and go home, or remap trackside?

on mine i was always paranoid as the engine was melted when i bought it. We think that was from running lean.
i dont watch it all the time but i do glance at it under WOT regularly.
I dont run any others gauges but think i'll put an oil temp one on..
