If going to a different caliper, be sure to check the piston sizes as this could have a huge impact on braking performance. If the overall area is a lot more than the stock ones, you will find you push the pedal to the floor with very little brake effort. (Same goes other way around. Smaller area means you will dab the brakes and fly through the windscreen).

holy sh*t, thats a lot of tension you have basically removed the offending bolt to use more of the adjustment?

This isnt my car by the way, just looking through installs and found this american guy, noted the tensioner maxed out and thought how the hell?? if you look he has replaced the alen bolt with a standard flat hex bolt.

Actually i think i know what hes done...
Hes used the hex bolt for tensioner and swapped them around...

it did come to my mind to do that, but if my memory serves me right their is a big brass spacer behind it, and i didnt want to have to take all of the mounting plate off to refit the spacer if it dropped down when i took the bolt out

true but I have a nice long pair of pliers plus i will probably be sandwiched in there tight anyway.
Interestingly, he's running a 15psi pulley, custom made I'm guessing!

that will probably be why it looks like hes got more tension on it then, if hes got a smaller pulley and used the same belt, then will need more adjustment to get the same tension

15psi must be over spinning that blower by about another 15-20k rpm. Be interesting to see how long it survives

Does anyone know the size of allen bolt off the top of their heads before i go take it out and measure?

The allen bolt holding the plate on for the charger that is.
