HKS SC kit topic

Sounds like a friend of mine has had his impellor snap on his hks kit, around 1.5 years of use, and sub 10k miles on it, he also suffered the flutter on his, so not sure if that has contributed to it happening

Did he address the flutter issue or just leave it ?

Think he did eventually, not sure how long after though.
Hopefully the 6 months or so that I have run with the flutter hasn't weakened mine, not saying it is down to the flutter, could be anything I guess but could be a culprit.
Got me worried about mine feeling down on power

.....'I don't think this would cases power loss . It would be fine one day and then snapped the next , pretty sure it wouldnt be a gradual .

The clips that come with the kit are nothing special but its not a serious amount of boost going through the pipes and all the intercooler pipework has nice lips on to ensure a nice tight fit and seal.
Defines issues are going to be hard to pin point without any datalogging ability. Feel bad for you as your tuner has well and truly stitched you up

Here are the print outs lads. No flutter at all, no leaking from the EGR valve blank, ran sweet as a nut.
He had to zero out the idle control table as there was some sort of software glitch causing it to always ask for 55% duty even though it was at like 1800rpm which was causing the over revving and holding whilst driving. Max it can get now is 35% which is perfect.
Pulls like a god damn cat with a fire stick stuck to its tail, bloody epic. Even had flames come out the exhaust on the limiter ha!
But here is the thing that is really going to blow peoples minds... the contitec belt is a piece of shit, it slipped everywhere, now i knew this so took the old HKS belt with me just in case and oh what do you know, i have the HKS belt fitted and no slip at all, the HKS belt is perfectly capable of handling the charger.

was your contitech belt squealing?
all i can say about my hks 6pk1319 belt is that it squealed at anything above 7krpm at maximum tension at only a few months old
whereas the contitech does not squeal, whether it is slipping i dont know, but could explain my strange power loss
i dont really have a great urge to spunk out £70 on the hks belt for it to only last 2 months
